Location: Greenwich Land Trust Converse Brook Preserve

Join Greeenwich Audubon in partnership with the Greenwich Land Trust for a birding tour of GLT’s Converse Brook Preserve and participate in Cornell’s Great Backyard Bird Count! Greenwich Audubon’s Ryan MacLean along with Greenwich Land Trust staff will lead a leisurely birding tour on the trails of GLT’s Converse Brook Preserve. The woodland and stream habitats of the preserve provide suitable habitat and food for our wintering songbirds and we will search for species such as Woodpeckers, Winter Wren, Cedar Waxwings along with raptors such as hawks. All the birds we encounter will be added to a checklist for the Great Backyard Bird Count and you will learn how you can participate in this weekend-long community science project!

This tour is FREE but capacity is limited to 25 people. Please RSVP on Greenwich Land Trust’s Website HERE.

Converse Brook Preserve is located at approximately 20 Cherry Valley Rd, Greenwich CT, the parking lot is located at the Pin provided HERE.

Please wear warm clothing and bring binoculars. A limited supply of extra binoculars will be available to those who need them.
