The COA Annual Meeting, scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020 has been cancelled.
Middlesex Community College has withdrawn its invitation to us to hold our meeting at their hall. This is in keeping with the current recommendations restricting the size of any gathering of people in one location to < 100 individuals in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We accept and respect their decision and applaud their choice of human health and safety over other concerns. We will be contacting all birders who have registered for the meeting by email and will refund their money. There may be the option for birders to leave their registration fee in place, in which case we will hold it for them for next year’s meeting (which, of course, we hope to hold without incident). Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation in this unfortunate turn of events.
The Gull Workshop for Sunday, March 22, is expected to go on as planned.
