The Connecticut Ornithological Association announces the recipient of the Zepko Audubon Camp Scholarship for 2021. Sebastian Killin, 15, a student at Marvelwood School in Kent, received the award. The goal of the schholarshiip is to nurture interest in bird study and conservation among young birders. Sebastian has spent time at Audubon’s Bent Of The River Sanctuary and is very interested in birding and conservation.
The scholarship covers the full cost ($1,695) of Audubon’s “Monhegan and Hog Island Birding for Teens.” The program takes place in Maine from July 18-23, 2021. The cost includes housing, boat travel and all meals.
