Audubon CT, Sharon: Spring Birding for Everybody

Join Sharon Audubon Naturalist, Bethany Sheffer, and George Wallace of the American Bird Conservancy on a special program that will incorporate both a guided bird tour around the Sharon Audubon Center and a ‘sit spot,’ where you’ll learn how to use binoculars (if you haven’t used them before), learn which features on birds to begin observing, and interesting information about observed species and their conservation needs. Everyone is welcome, regardless of mobility or experience!
Fee: $15/adult, $5/child

Accessibility
Public parking located in a gravel parking space.
The ‘sit spot’ group will remain at or very near the parking area and will remain there through the duration of the program.
Terrain is varied throughout the property. Some parts and flat and grassy, while others include gravel (dirt road overlooking primary wetland complex), occasional roots and uneven terrain (forest), and wet, soggy areas on the loop trail along the far side of the pond.
