Audubon CT Sharon: Winter Bird Scramble
January 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
$5 – $15![](https://b2498154.smushcdn.com/2498154/wp-content/uploads/Blue-Jay-in-snow-web-e1681324573617.jpg?lossy=2&strip=0&webp=1)
Join us for a little friendly competition amongst birders of all levels! Sort of like in golf, we’ll be dividing ourselves into teams with an SAC staff member or volunteer in each group. And while we will be tallying up the species we see, the focus will be ensuring everyone on our teams gets the chance to identify birds. You might consider this a birding course but with the slightest competitive edge.
After we finish, we’ll head inside for some warm beverages and discuss our finds! Interested participants will learn how to take and submit data to eBird from their phones.
Fee: $15/adult, $5/child (ages under 16)
Suitable for ages 10+
Pre-registration only
Call 860-364-0520 ext 115 or email Bethany at Bethany.sheffer@audubon.org with questions.
Accessibility
Public parking is located fewer than 50 yards from the nature center facility.
Public restrooms available.
Terrain has large root systems and rocks in the woods, but we won’t go more than a few meters in because of its unpredictability in the wintertime.
Terrain on grassy areas is smooth and even.
