Bent of the River at Newtown Forest Association’s Holcombe Hill
Join Kate Pratt, Educator and Volunteer Coordinator at Bent of the River Audubon Center, for an informative walk and talk about Bluebird Boxes at Holcombe Hill in Newtown, CT. Learn how to monitor your boxes, and identify the birds that nest in them. Monitoring increases the chances of success for Bluebirds using your boxes. When good records are kept, it is also valuable for determining population trends. Monitoring nest boxes will alert you to problems that birds have with predators and competitors.
