Meet at the Bulkeley Hill Preserve parking lot at dusk, 4:00 PM. Bring a fold out chair or blanket to sit on if you would like. For the first 30 minutes we will talk about the different wildlife we may see and hear in the preserve, what owls are native to Colchester, and  facts about Connecticut owls and the threats to their numbers. “Happy owl hour” soft drinks and snacks will be provided by the hike leader, or BYO.

Slow hike, wooded trail with rocks, roots, etc. Red light flashlights will be used by the guides so we do not scare off the owls.  Aproximate length of hike is about 1 leisurely mile, with several stops to call owls.
