Late fall is a great time to start looking for overwintering birds such as Juncos and nonmigratory birds. With leaves off the trees, it is easier to see through the forest and take in the landscape. Join us at Deer Pond Farm on this casual walk with Sanctuary Manager/Naturalist Lori Lichtenauer who will review the adaptations of birds to survive the winter season. She’ll also cover when and where to put up your winter bird feeders. In advance of Thanksgiving, we’ll share fun facts about wild turkeys!
