Woodcock Nature Center: Owl Prowl
November 2 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Evening Owl Prowl at Sarah Bishop Preserve
Saturday, November 2 from 5:30 pm – 7 pm
Join bird enthusiast Tommy McCarthy along with Ridgefield Conservation Commission members for an evening walk at the Sarah Bishop preserve in Ridgefield to learn about and listen for some of the eight owl species which can be found in our state. Late fall is a great time to look for owls, as the young ones born during the past season disperse, learn to live independently and establish their own territories. We will delve into the lives of these secretive and beautiful animals by learning about the sounds they make, the habitat they prefer, and the signs they leave behind as they hunt.
This program is being run in partnership with the Ridgefield Conservation Commission. This event is free. Registration required. Questions? Email us.
