Bringing Birders Together Statewide
Members can now log in and access Hawk and Sparrow Workshops and recent issues of The Connecticut Warbler in the Members Only section.
Founded in 1981, Connecticut Ornithological Association is an all volunteer organization with the mission of promoting interest in Connecticut birds, and collecting, preparing, and disseminating the best available scientific information on the status of Connecticut birds and their habitats. While COA is not primarily an advocacy organization, we work actively to provide scientific information and to support other conservation organizations in the state.

Supporting COA Means Helping CT Birds and Birders
COA provides many services for no fee but we can’t do it without your help. If you enjoy the CTBirds listserv email, birding calendar, workshops, two great quarterly publications, or behind-the-scenes support for birds and habitat throughout the state, then join us.
Publications
Two well-known Connecticut Ornithological Association publications include a journal, The Connecticut Warbler, and a newsletter, COA Bulletin, both produced quarterly. Links to PDF files of all Bulletin issues and The Connecticut Warbler through two years previous to the current issue are provided here. COA members can log in to access the Members Only section for more recent issues of The Connecticut Warbler.
About
The Connecticut Ornithological Association is the only statewide organization devoted to birds and birding in Connecticut. Since its founding in 1981, its membership has grown to over 500 people, from beginning birders to professional ornithologists. We provide and support educational workshops, grants, research opportunities, an email listserv, and others activities and services for birders throughout the state. COA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
